Vec c club 52 plate saloon

I was given a rear end shunt by an 18 wheel artic - the details are on here somewhere! The car has been repaired but the immobiliser is now playing up? It is happening on both keys and it is taking about 3 or 4 attempts before the padlock is no more. Imediately after the padlock goes out or when the padlock does not come on the spanner over the car comes on then goes off?

The only damage to the car was a rear bumper but it was quite an efty bump.

Do you think the two are related, I did not have this problem before?

The engine does seem lumpier if you understand what I mean
