Just looked on what you bought on Ebay and it says you bought 2. I can believe you wouldn't try another one as the buyer had good feedback.

I'm glad you came to your senses and ended it because a) you wouldn't get that for it. b) I wish you were nearer so I could try it but I am sure it will work but either it's a duff GPS or the RGB cable effects it in someway, unlikely but you never know.

How long did you leave the sat-nav to find the GPS....
On initial power up, the whole CD70 and GPS aerial can take a while to find the sat-nav signals.

I have a post on here somewhere, as I used an aftermarket GPS patch aerial (I've also used a Tom Tom aerial with success)..

It took my car about 10 to 15 mins to find the GPS signal...like you I thought mine didn't work....Just give it another go.
You may be surprised --- I was surprised and also very relieved when it suddenly told me my gps position...

When the new one arrives put the GPS on the passenger corner of the dash so it has line of sight and go for a drive. It does take a while to get a fix, worth waiting for the RGB cable too.

    Where's your patience?
