Default What model do I have?

Here in Norway they hardly managed made acessory-series of the Vectra. You had to select whatever you wanted from a huuuge list. Except from some business-models, its no main models, strange enough.
But if my Opel was a Vauxhall, what model would it be? SRi? GTi? Yes I know I have a DTi, but that is only the engine-code, like the cdti?

Mine is equipped with (as I recall...):
    2.2 DTi Estate 2004 5-speed "tiptronic"
Leather interiour / seats with wood-alike plastic
    Seats/mirrors with memory
    AFL xenonlights
ESP and anti-whatever and ABS, with ESP-button
GID (never seen a Vectra C without)
17" alu on summer, 16" alu on winter
2-zone climate (never seen a Vectra C without)
    Cruisecontrol
    Rainsensor / heat reflective window
    Alarm
    Roof rails
    Hidden caravan hanger
    Heated washers / headlight washer
    Coupe heater (diesel)
    sunglass-holder / reading-lights
    Rear-view mirror, self-blending
    Daytime running lights

Might be more, this was what I remembered for now.

    Vehicle : Insignia

    Trim : SRI VX-Line Nav

    Engine : 2.0 CDTI [170 PS]

    Year : 2015

    Mileage : 27000

    Default

Looks like an ELITE model with optional extras like, electric seats, Daytime running lamps, AFL Xenonlights.

Climate control only appears on the ELITE as standard and optional on the VXR/OPC.

    Hope that helped

if we talk opel terms.. then it sounds like the Cosmo could also be Elegance or comfort model.. as alle can come with that extra.. (its not all standard on cosmo)

think all opel from comfort and up have the Dual zone climate and GID...

In Spain Elite is known as Cosmo. Elegance and Design trims as over here in GB. SRI is GTS. Base trim is Essentia.

Yep, I have got a confirmation from my dealer I have a Cosmo as "base".

And I could not agree more: The "Cosmo" must be one of the worst model name I've ever heard. Opel has done something terribly wrong. There Vauxhall is alot better in "branding". No one is in doubt what model an "Elite" is, or a VXR, SRi. All quite logical and well-known letter-combinations.
Cosmo? It sounds like a Lada! Thank God they didn't put stickers on the car

'Cosmo' is presumably an abbreviation for 'Cosmopolitan' which directly translates into something very similar ( in linguistic terms known as a cognate) in most European languages. What puzzles me is that it does not carry the same meaning as 'elite' which also has direct cognates in European languages.

'Elite' means 'top class' 'a cut above' or 'luxurious' whereas 'Cosmopolitan' doesn't.

I agree with you the use of three-letter acronyms like SRI GSI VXR SXI in the UK and GTS OPC and GTC in Spain makes much more sense.
