    Default Disc Rotation

    In the picture below is the new disc I have for my upgrade but which direction do they go, can anybody help please.. Is it an offside or nearside.

    Differing opinions on this. General consensus is that the grooves swoop towards the back, but some lines of thought are that they face forwards. Can't recall all the arguments for both.

    no expert but i'd have thought the grooves swoop backwards to clear dust so offside

    direction of rotation of the one in picture would be clockwise

    Nearside - I would have thought the one in the pic would have been anti clockwise, rotation, as the disc spins it collects air and cool down ?

    I have had 40 grove tarox disks and 12 grove black diamonds in the past. Both sets said it depends on the amount of grooves. No idea why!

    Also its not to clear dust, its to remove the build up of gas that forces the pad from the disk iirc from my black diamond instructions.

    Did they come with any paperwork on fitting?

    Cheers for the pointers, thinking about it, they would sweep back because the rotation of the disk would create a vacuum at the end of the groove therefore sucking the gases out, other way round would force the air and gas into the groove therefore creating pressure behind the pads.
