Yep, first port of call for all early vec's is the ABS plug. A quick squirt of contact cleaner should do the trick. The next on the list again on early Vec s is the cim, although that's a £350 dealer fix. The fuse seems to be popping up now and again though.
Mine just had that problem removed fuse 17 put back in working ok. Just fitted brand new cim so it not that.
Have now done this, and fuse 17, and will see how it goes. So far only done about 20 miles total and no problems seen but it will get a better workout during the week's commuting.
Neither the fuse blades nor the ABS connector pins looked at all like there might be a problem but that could be down to the wiping action of the pull/plug sequence.
