Dosent it affect insurance if you have diffrent tyres on ?
Shouldn't do as its a listed size in the owners manual
But you are changing it from when it left the factory, might be worth checking, insurance companys just need the smallest of excuses not to pay out !
Changing to the alternate size will make your speedo over-read. ie, at an indicated 70 mph you'll probably be doing something like 65 mph.
Also as the tyres are slightly smaller in circumference your mileage will increase slightly more than compared to someone who still has 215/50/17's fitted.
I think the dealers can Tech2 to correct for the over-reading when changing to 225/45/17's
