twanging front springs

as described was away with the car last week on holiday and heard at different times funny twanging noises from both front springs hasnt happened since and car seems okay now what do you guys think?

mine was making them noises, i bought some loweringsprings and when i removed the old ones they were broke

jack her up m8, remove the wheel and have a good nose round, especialy round the bottom of the spring where it sits in the leg

or my ones were pi 45/40mm set up off ebay for £120 posted

anyone used jamex,spax or apex as advertised in lmf tv advert ? they seem cheaper but are they any good ?
