After fitting a new EGR valve revs still drop to low & engine stalls?? Any Ideas??

Hi, Im new to your site and am currently at a loss over an issue with my 2.2 Petrol SRI Vectra C, it has a anoying issue that while you are driving you can come to a junction and dip the clutch, the revs drop below 500rpm and the engine stalls? I have fitted a brand new EGR valve and although this car is better it is still soing the same issue. Sometimes is if dont stall it will run very lumpy for a couple of seconds and then be ok. We are really struggling on this one car anyone shed some light for us, thanks Paul & Kat

Throttle body needs a cleanout..? Idle stepper motor?... Pressure regulator??

As Plasma said, a dirty throttle body on the z22se is the most common reason for poor idle. This is a new Tb, as you can see the butterfly doesn't seal the hole. Its that tiny little gap that controls the idle, if that gets dirty then you choke the engine, stalling and lumpy idle are always the outcome.

If that fails to solve it try the o2 sensor.

i will never buy a 2.2 again i know my could be unlucky but my 2.0t perfect this has seemed like a time bomb from when i got it and sounded like it with that chain
