I am looking at buying a DVD kit for the headrests and would like to know if i could run an input to the AUX on the head unit so the sound comes out the speakers in the car. I currently have a hands free kit but its pants so it can come out. If i can does anyone know what input connections i need if poss.

You need a CD70 from an 08 plate car to have an Aux input

Thought the external in was the phone connection (mono) and the aux in was only available on the much later versions.

your quite right, was checking to see if he was looking at the back of the radio connections or the aux-in on the cubby hole.

Yeah its when my phone rings it comes up and says external in. i thought it could have been where i could disconnect the phone and put i line in from the DVD player. Looks like i may be disapointed.

You could but it would be in mono and also you'd need to create a workabout to make it switch to the external input, as the car kits earth a wire to make it switch, so you could just wire in a switch.

There is a thread about modifying the radio to allow for an phantom aux input, but it involves soldering inside the radio and creating a cd of "silence".
