    Default Removing rear wiper arm??

Hey folk, a little help please??
I want to swap my rear wiper arm on my Vec hatchback to the flat blade type.
I have the flat one to put on but i have a problem. Undone the nut that holds it down but it still won't budge, i have applied as much pressure as possible, as i don't want to end up smashing/cracking the glass.

Have i missed something, is there another locking ring somewhere as i have tried levering it off, pulling at it, tapping all round But its as stubburn as crash gordon & won't budge.

    Any help/advice would be appreciated

spray some wd40 or oil onto the spline , let it soak for a few mins , then lift the wiper arm vertical and hold the bottom near the nut and wiggle it , also a few light taps about 6 inches from the nut housing on the wiper arm may loosen it.
If not you will need to get a wiper pulling tool , about a tenner I think.

These are much better pullers, the ones shown in the link above just bend.

    Thanks for the link mate!

I still haven't done it as i got called into work, I may have a ball joint puller so i shall find it out & have a look. i shall use penetrating oil to see if this will ease it, but it sounds like everyone has struggled to get these off.
