    Default Tesco warranty

Just been having a closer look at the tesco Warranty and they do what is called the 'Standard Cover' which seems to be fairly comprehensive including wear and tear cover at a cost of £259 or £25.90 over 10 months.
Has anyone here actually purchased this warranty and made a claim, as it would be interesting to know how it was dealt with.
    Cheers Pete

I don't know about their warranty, but I bought a Garmin Satnav from them and after 3 months I dropped it and broke the screen. When I took it back to the store they told me to phone the claims dept, when I explained that I had been on the phone for ages but could not get through they changed it without any problem , as I still had the receipt.
I then broke it again and it was again replaced. Both times I was at fault and it was still replaced. In fact the second time the price had been reduced so I got change back as well (£20).

im taking cover out for my new car, unlimited claimes, £260 a year, was going for the 120 but now going to bee a happy owner of a 150.
£260 covers you upto the value of £3000/ claime, plus 3 days car hire,
you can also take it to the garage of your choice,

take it to a garage where you no the owner, tell them its going to cost £2000 to repair, when it really costs you £1500, then split the difference with the garage,

Warranty Direct and Warranty Wise are two more worth considering.

I know a lot of Lexus owners use Warranty Direct and seem happy with the service.

Cant comment on the rest, but never except the first quote on either of the above companies, tell them you are shopping around. Within a couple of weeks they will be back in touch and there prices will either drop considerably or they will up the benefits free of charge.

Just looked again at the Tesco Warranty and the Standard cover I was looking at doesn't cover suspension at all, so that's out!! One thing I did forget is that I'm a member of CSMA and they do a Car Care Plan (tailoured for members) and can offer just about everything that the others can offer (including suspension) only thing I noticed it didn't cover was the Heater Matrix, all for £222, however I just need to clarify that they will cover franchised dealer labour rates, noticed with click4warranty that if you use franchised dealers they will still only pay up to the labour rates of their approved garages.
    Cheers Pete
