2.2i Direct vectra......?

I've got a 2.2dti and it may need replacing soon due to mileage.

I'm looking for an 04/05 plate and I have between 4 to 5k to spend.

I bought the 2.2 direct in Feb (dealer 05 plate, 83k, 1 owner, £3200). My only regret is that the gits put petrol prices up to match diesel, thereby upsetting my cost calculations. The car is otherwise great.

All depends on mileage really as to whether a diesel is worth it. Judas, if your mileage doesn't justify a diesel then what about a 2.0T? Better consumption than the 2.2 from what I understand and a bit more oomph too.

I've seen 2.8's get better economy than my 2.2 Direct did - and are bound to drive a million times better...

I couldn't face the potential (and I hasten to add - potential) grief of the 2.2 Direct.

I would rather the 2.0T, but then I prefer Turbos.
