    Default MOT and service

Just had the Veccy MOTed and serviced but went with Formula 1 Autocentres this time instead of the dealer. Had to have new rear shocks and rear brake pads, wheel alignment and balancing, that plus the price for the service and MOT cost £416.
The customer service was so much better than the dealer and they remembered to fill in the service history, I had to remind the dealer everytime to do it and last year they didn't even print off the MOT certificate!

You're lucky then...there's 2 Formula 1's near me, last time I ever went there they drew up a list of work that "needed" doing that totalled over £1000, I told them to leave it all. Took it to the other branch, asked them to look at all the things that were on the list (didn't say why) and they kept saying "doesn't need doing Sir, it's up to you but if it was me I'd save my money". Then I let on that their other branch had drawn up a list, and they shook their heads and mumbled "yea, they do that sometimes". Never went back.

Used Formula 1 for my wife's and daughter's cars and they've been really good, even showing us exactly what was wrong (broken spring, blown exhaust), they've earnt our trust so will keep using them, whereas the dealer has blown it as far as I'm concerned.

Yep! It was the nearside rear that was leaking badly and I saw exactly what they meant!
