Quick one-how to check when service is due?

Im sure its been over a year and about 10k miles since my dad's SRI CDTI 150 Facelift was last serviced.

Im just waiting for him to tell me that it says Insp on the dash again (as he normally does).

Whats the methid for checking when the Service is due?

I remember when I tried the "press the mile reset" on my old Pre-Face SRI CDTI, it actually reset the Service Counter (so I kept doing it after every 10k miles - ).

Anyone help?

Just for info-I have no idea what service pattern its on (EcoFlex or what not), the 1st Service was done at about 8k, 2nd at about 18k, now on about 26k.

Check the service book
It should have details of when the next service is due
The front section also lists what the service intervals are
I'm taking a guess at 1 year / 20K miles

If the car is on ECO Flex then it will show when you press the milometer reset with the keys out of the ignition

Otherwise, just say "The car is now due a service", better to be safe than sorry

Well, on my pre-face, I used to hold down the brake pedal & counter reset and then turn the ignition on and after a few seconds of the ign being on it used to flash and read something like 9999.99.

Maybe I were doing it wrong?

Pre-facelift - press trip button and miles to next service shown in trip counter display if it's set up for 'ECOFLEX' servicing. Otherwise 1 year/max 20,000 miles.

Facelift - 1 year/max 20,000 miles.

Remember ECOFLEX servicing was really set up for high-mileage drivers who would have it serviced at least once a year.

My car was set up for ECOFLEX servicing from the factory but I get it serviced every year as I do less than 10.000 miles a year, and there is no way I'm leaving the same oil in for 2 years.

On pre-facelifts the 'INSP' message can also display in the trip meter which means it would have been set up for 10,000/1 year service intervals.

Ok, I just checked it....its due in 3000 miles.

Its a facelift so simply do this:

Get in, press the reset button on the mile counter and hold for 3 seconds and insp with miles left will be displayed! No need to enter key or anything!
