Angry Help Kwikfit crashed my car

Hi all, I need some advice.

Took my signum into kwikfit yesterday (second time in a week) for to get my aircon done, the assist manager drove my car around to the bay and crashed it into another dealer driving another customer car.

The third party admitted liability and said he would take my car and fix it as it was only a scuff and would take 5 mins, i told him no as i have seen his work before and then got his insurance details, kwikfit are refusing to give me theres and told me to go through my own insurance.

i contacted a body shop who said there was around £1500-£2000 damage and they put me intouch with a company called accident exchange who contacted the third party, who now says it should be 50/50 with kwick fit.
so they wont persue the claim for me and neither will my insurance swiftcover as i was not in charge of my vehicle.

Can anyone help as ive been told im not allowed to drive the car due to the damage and i had to cancell my hollidy yesterday because of it

    what can i do ????

Done that and they still wont give me any cuttins, they said they would look into it but they cant do anything for a week or two untill the manager of my local branch gets back from hols.

Even though the car was in there care they should fix it and claim from the other party if neccisary

Go and get a free half hour consultation from a solicitor, start keeping all receipts for any losses you have incurred over it. They are a large company and should contact the manager now, no excuses! They should get it repaired and work out how they are going to sort it out with their staff later.

What a disgrace, I will not be using quick fit now if this is how they treat their customers.

You could go to citizens advice mate?

Rather unusual for the third party to refuse to provide the name and address of their insurer (ie the Kwik Fit Manager)
Although it is private property they may be able to refuse to do so

So long as you have the vehicle registration of the other vehicle, then go through your own insurance
I had a similar experience, at a car wash on private property, went through my insurance but a week later I received an offer from the third party to insurance that they admitted full liability and would prefer to deal with me directly, so as not to affect my NCB

I phoned them up, advising that I would agree to that, subject to me having a non-cost hire car equivalent to my own, no excess to pay, the repair carried out at a dealership of my choice, and the repair under warranty for three years
A replacement car arrived three hours later and was a black Vectra SRI with less than 1000 miles on it

Not technically, from what I remember you need only give reg number, name and address. I could be wrong as i'm having a mind blank. They should however give their insurance details and accept full liability as it was crashed by their staff!

You do need to give your details it's a legal requirement but you don't have to give insurance details.
