Does anyone know the size of the socket to remove the shocks & is it a bi-hexagon socket?

Set of spring compressors to be safe, and a torx socket IIRC.. The dampers are now independant of the springs, more like the old cavalier than the vectra B.. but i'm not sure if there is enough 'droop' in the linkage to allow the spring out without being compressed..Top shock mount is externally mounted behind the wheel but may be covered in mud so plenty of WD40..

My fitter compressed the springs when changing mine, not sure whether he 'needed' to or just did it anyway to be safe.

Do you know what size the sockets are, to save me buying a full set that I will probably only use the 1 or 2 sockets out of?

I would buy a full set for the sake of it.

Looking at them looks around a 10 or 12. But for the sake of a £7 from Machine Mart, get them bought.

Spring compressors I would always use just to be safe Rears arn't needed but fronts yes.
