    Default a/c problem

had the a/c on for most of the day but when i went back to the car theres a smell like vomit in the car. What can i do to sort it. i'm only assuming this is where the problem is steming from as i've never smelt it before. the weather up here doesn't usually call for a/c.

I bought mine at Tesco a few weeks ago - £5, I think. Far cheaper than anywhere else.

I bought it on Monday from Tesco as well, £5. They seemed to be running low on stock though, I guess the hot weather is taking its toll on a/c systems. If you do buy this stuff, here's a tip: get a new black bin liner and put it over the back rest for the passenger seat, to protect it from the droplets from the disinfectant can (the can goes in the rear n/s footwell).

The instructions say the moisture is harmless and should just be wiped away when the can is empty but better safe than sorry - a bin liner or something over the back of the front seat is a very good idea.

In fact, I'd put something over any fabric/leather near the rear nearside footwell where the can goes. Last year when I did my yearly aircon clean, the droplets from the can left dull spots in the leather. They did disappear eventually and after some leather cleaner, but I was worried for a bit that they weren't going to.

I think it's also a good idea to fold the front passenger seat forward if you have a fold-flat one so the liquid from the can won't be jetted straight up on to the seat back. I'd still cover the back with a bin liner or something though.
