Good news - we are now fully fledged members of the VBOA!

Following on from this thread, Duncan attended one of the regular VBOA meetings at Luton on Sunday.

As our probationary period was up, one of the things on the agenda was whether we would achieve full VBOA membership - so Duncan was required to give a bit of an update of what we'd been doing, how things were going etc., which he duly did.

We're delighted to report back that he didn't fluff it up and that the voting by the other member clubs was unanimously in favour of accepting the club as full members of the VBOA. - in fact the VBOA chairman even said that we'd shown ourselves to be a credit. Whilst our attendance at the VBOA Duxford may not have had the biggest of turnouts, our attendence was noted and our support commented on - so to Ian and Dean for their hard work in arranging that.

There's been a massive amount of work gone on behind the scenes over a period of almost a couple of years in total, so to finally reach the point that we have is very satisfying for us for sure, and it's great to have the official recognition of the VBOA that the club deserves.

Onwards and upwards.

Brilliant news. A lot of effort went into that I'm sure.

I remember reading the threads about how the initial presentation was put together a couple of years ago. Late nights and dashes across country to get everything ready. So I'd like to thank Alex and Mark for the part they played as well as D and G.
