Default RAF Cosford meet anyone ?

Seeing as the bowling meet fell flat on it's face and a member asked for this meet at Cosford, i'm putting the feelers out to see what interest we have.
    www.rafmuseum.org.uk/cosford/index.cfm

Seems August has an event that runs for the whole month thats aimed at children, so making this even more ideal for a family meet.

Looking at Aug 2nd as the kids will be bored with the school hols by then.
    Start time provisionaly 10:30/11:00 am.

    As always, all regions invited.

Please put your name down on the list if this interests you.

I can't believe it but I may once again be away for this meet!! I seem to have been away on the days of WM meets for ages now.

I haven't booked anything but am looking around.

If not I'll deffo be there.

May i suggest also, they do the brekkie club meet, where all children, would still be able to go round museum, plus all the other motors will be there too.

I know its an early start, but its still a good day out

Although I will not be able to attend, may I reccommend the Cosford Museum to anyone that has not been. RAF Cosford is home to the Defence College of Aeronautical Engineering where I have spent about 2 1/2 years (accumulative, not in one go!) training during my current RAF career, and visited the Museum on countless occasions. It has had a massive overhaul in recent years and the number of aircraft and displays has improved 10 fold and is well worth the visit for all ages and the last time I was there I think it was free entry. There is a decent restaurant/cafe and ample parking. Sorry if I have hijacked a thread but thought I might advertise the venue as ideal for a meet, wish I could attend, have a good one guys.

Glad to see it is still free. Not far for you to travel mate, I remember the Cosford to Clay Cross run on a Friday evening! About 2 hours, just over an hour going back on a Monday morning tho!
