Default Water dripping from bulkhead after long drive with AirCon

    Hi Guys.
Just done a 90 mile drive on what was a hot day and noticed a puddle under the car when I parked up. It seems to be dripping down the lower part of the bulkhead in the engine bay. Looks like clean water and doesn't smell, so I checked the levels which are all ok and engine temp was normal at 90 degrees.

This only happened with the AirCon ON so I wondered if this could have been condensation at the back of the engine and was normal as it stopped when I went for a drive with the AirCon OFF.

Normal as anything... I had the same panic myself

    See HERE

Its basically where air is condensing and turning into water.. It drips from a pipe just behind ur engine.

Yes all normal they all drip water from the AC unit thats how its works. By turning the hot air into cold air makes condensation just like a fridge does. Thats why they have a drip pipe at the back off the fridge, just that on cars they drip on to the floor.

    Phew, thanks guys, panic over.
I've had the car for 3 or 4 years now and never noticed it before. You're all spot on about the pipe though as that's exactly where it was coming from, almost as if Vauxhall put it there to act as a route for the water to run from
