Air Con Smell

Hello, first thread on here after buying my 53 Vectra SRI a month ago...

Got myself a real bargain and the only issue i have is the air con seems to smell very musty!!!

Is this just a simple regas???

Hey mate, do a search for stinky or smelly air-con, should throw up a few hits.

I had the same issue about a year ago and someone had a post up about a week ago!

Common issue as its down to the bacteria!

Someone else. Mine stinks as well. I dont usually use my a/c but over the recent hot spell I have. The smell eases up after about 15 mins of use. Was wondering if a re gas would do the job

Get to tesco and buy their air con cleaner. Its on special offer at £5. I had a similar problem with mine but after using this spray the smell is gone. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kleen-Air-Air-...3A1%7C294%3A50 This is the stuff but as i say its a fiver in tesco or at least it was last week, hth

The AC will either work or it won't. A re-gas won't make any difference to the musty smell.

If you leave it running all the time, then it shouldn't smell. It's only when it's used occasionally that you generally get the whiffy smells.
