Into semi-retirement !

Why ? you ask, i can't leave it where i can see it at night where i work (dodgy area), i don't want to keep getting into it with grubby clothes on scuffing up the leather re-trim, i hate using it to take rubbish to the tip etc. and the miles are starting to creep up (over 21k now ) !

So i'm buying an 'R' reg Ford Escort 1.8 16v Ghia X for £450 off a neibours daughter which will become my daily drive.

£450 !!! Comes with leather seats, sunroof, aircon, alloys, 6 disc CD player, heated front screen, 6 months MOT but no tax !

She's only had it 4 weeks and say's it's to powerful for her only had 1100cc Fiesta's before.
It's a bargain if you ask me .

Only downside is she's caught the n/s rear door and quarter panel and put a scuff in them. I can live with that.

I'll add pics when i get it, waiting for her to find a replacment.

used to have a 1.8 escort on an R plate, they are nippy beggers and quite fun to drive, i wouldnt mind another one if my kids fitted in the back lol (which they wont, lanky gits)

i had a 1.8 d and it was the most gutless thing i have ever driven, it use to slow down going up a hill that my old lorry would go strsight up

lol, luckily mine was a petrol, have driven the diesels and they are a bit slow
