    Vehicle : Opel Signum

    Trim : Sport

    Engine : 3.0 CDTI

    Year : 12/03

Default P0606 3.0CDTi and no start

Turned the ignition on and the spanner light was on, also the ESP light was still on too? It normally goes off along with the preheating and ABS light.

Ok I then turned the key normaly and when I thought the engine fired I released it. THE ENGINE STALLED IMMEDIATELY. This happened 3 times then I went to chech under the bonnet for a connector I've been fiddling with but that was fine. So I went back in the car to try and start it up again. Took the key out and then back in. The engine fired right up with no spanner light and ESP light. It then ran fine.

The day before I got a message up saying a brakelight was shot so after I turned the engine off I pumped the brake pedal to see which light wasn't working. The pedal was stiff when I left the car. Is it connected?

BUMP anyone? I'm worried it might be the fuel pump...what if the engine dies on the motorway at 70mph?

Hi Celes, Did you manage to sort the P0606 code out as i have the same problem with the spanner light coming on but the battery light comes on as well. It runs fine but when i turn the engine off it won't start as it clicks as if its draining all the power and acts like the starter motor is stuck but it isn't?
Any help would be most grateful
    Cheers

No mate. Thank god I sold that heap of steaming excrement before it exploded.
Is yours by chance a manual? Could be that a faulty flywheel is causing the starter to fail to turn the engine. Or your battery could simply be dead. Check voltage when cranking the engine.
