    Default 2.0dti is it auto ajusted?

    was wondering if anyone had a guide or some advice to removeing the cam on a 2.0dti VectraC
    one of my tappets has snaped need to replace it but not sure how the timeing works on the dti's

    If you mean hydraulic tappets that are self adjusting,correct they are.

    ?When you say the tappet has snapped,exactly where has it snapped.

    The firing order i believe is 1.3.4.2,number one cylinder being the one nearest the cam sprocket.

    the valve bridge snaped
    nice clean break but the cam broke it into quiet a few pieces.
    hopeing its salvagable, the cam dosent look to badly damaged, so hopefully after replaceing the bridge, giveing it a good service will all be ok.
    can only hope

    It should be fine if the cam slipper broke and the valves stayed up! and the piston hasnt hit the valves. Lift the hydraulic tappets out, check them and give the valves a push to see if they are free and not sticking!
