There's a few people doing long term tests of it all. As you say, it's been done to death on quite a few threads, with no real conclusion reached as everyone's experience seems to be different...

You need to use BP Ultimate for at least 4 full tanks before you really see the benefits
At 106p per litre that is a reasonably good price, as the nominal retail preice for standard diesel is 105p at the moment
As you may notice Scottish forecourts are sitting at about 102p per litre at the moment, so you could try it for a few days and compare, until the standard price increases to 106p per litre, then compare again

£1.06 for V-Power Diesel here, it's all I use, mpg is a slight bit better, enough to cover the extra cost, but the engine runs as sweat as a nut on it.

    Diesel here 1.03 and petrol 1.02 !!!

Penny difference - I only have one diesel pump at my closest station.
No choice for BP ultimate diesel, just petrol..

Buy two car washes get the third free

Why not try BP Glasgow Airport, should be the same price and the tanks there are much newer!

It's a penny more expensive here for petrol over diesel - saw £1.009/litre diesel and £1.019/litre for unleaded at Asda, Portrack Lane, Stockton today.

Diesel seems to be between £1.009 and £1.049 depending on the filling station in my region. I filled up at a Shell garage in Hartlepool on Saturday, at the lower price for their standard diesel (all they offer.)
