    Default Antifreeze change

Thought I had better change the antifreeze in my motor. I put the VX long life in.
Not too difficult a job. I removed the bottom hose, and flushed the old stuff out several times.
Then put 4 Litres of anitifreeze in. As I live in a hardwater area. I put wait for it.........................Bottles water in to fill it up
I also noticed that the filler cap was tight to remove. So here is a tip for you. Put some lubricant (I used back to black (a silicon) on the inside of the top of the headertank where the "O" ring locates. This made putting the cap back on easy and hopefully will stop it from seizing on.
Now to give my motor a run and check the fluid level.

If you live in a hardwater area and put 4L of AF in, why use bottled water?!

Good job though and it probably a thing a lot of people do not think of doing regularly.

I thought it would be better for the cooling sytem.. If you saw how the kettle fir,s up with limescale. I was thinking bottled water would be better ( that is if it is not hard water).

The antifreeze has a corrosion inhibitor in it, so any old water will do.

No. I belive it can do more harm than good. Idealy it should be diluted 50/50 with water. Topping up should be the same too.
