    Default Superchip's customer service...

After attending the excellent rolling road day yesterday (well done Phil) i will be having to find out how good Superchip's customer service is tomorrow morning

My figure's with my remapped 2.0T were 174Bhp and 191lb/ft - which erm are standard figure's luckily enough the rolling road day was actually at Falkland who are the scottish superchip's dealer's. They checked over the print out of the car and reckon the map has either not gone on the car or its a faulty map. They normally can tell if the map is on by the torque figure's, in this case 191lb/ft is standard power so = standard map. Also in my favour Phil ran his Bsr'd 2.0T on the same road just before mine and made the stated BSR figure of power and torque so IMHO their will be no come back on this, especially as the guy's at Falkland agree....

So tomorrow we will find out if their customer service is up to much and see if their was maybe a mistake when they wrote the map for my car, as when it was getting mapped it took ages as they had to do the map manuallywhatever that mean's. Either they fix it or its money back time i reckon but TBH i would rather it was just fixed

On a positive note, the car was running perfect with their map on it

Just to say steven your car sounded amazing for a 2.0t what exhaust set up have you got?

I'm currently debating if i should get either a 2.0t, 3.0v6 cdti or a vxr but after hearing you moter yesterday i'm very swayed towards the 2.0t

Its a cat back system from Powerflow John, made by simon of simonsexhausts in East Kilbride

Suppose it depend's on what your after John, or how many mile's you do - the 2.0T is a belter of an engine and TBH it would be my choice of the 3 even if offered a VXR now.

Your right mate i did say it felt quicker but when it was mapped i did not get the wow feeling everyone else does when they get their 2.0T's done so it was probably me trying to convince myself it was better.

Its not as if im talking about a few % of a difference here in BHP or LB/FT so i reckon i have a right to moan tomorrow

It'll be interesting to hear how you get on with Superchips. If you get a good result, they might get another customer in me, if not, I'll look elsewhere (BSR?).

I have heard that if you put your re-mapped car into a dealers and they do a software update it can wipe your remap - any chance that might have happened to yours? Or maybe it just never went on.
But I know what it's like - your car just sometimes feels faster - mine was going like stink into Edinburgh after the RR, probably just because I had confidence in it and was getting revved more (also perhaps because I had left the trailer at the sailing club in Lower Largo - dooooh!)

Good to meet you, Steven, and the other lads. Maybe see you at Aviemore.

You've got the proof mate so it will all be sorted out in the morning i can't see anyone trying to defend the undefendable it's pretty clear that the map didn't transfer so they will no doubt offer to do it again. If i were you see what you can get out them along the lines of compensation for your time, fuel, cost of r/r run ...... Its always worth a shout
