    think this would be ok with the vec c as a cheaper alternative to the Vx kit?

    To be fair mate the vx one is only a tenner dearer and plugs straight in, it also has the proper grommet to go into the rear panel. Also you won't need to have a buzzer as the towbar light on the dash will flash with the trailer lights

    £20 more actually - well 15 once postage is added. Just bought the Vx kit today (£49). It is well built and goes in well - one hole to be made, if you have a hatchback, and I've attached it to a retractable/invisible bar.

    Some have said they needed tech 2-ing but it worked straight away. I get a bulb failure warning anytime the trailer is plugged in but all the lights work fine. I don't get any sort of trailer light on the dash (or a buzzer).
