    Default Autovaux..genuine parts?..which service items?

Looking around for the price for front brake disc and pad set I have found them at Autovaux for £58 including VAT. I have seen a few members use this site and was wondering if these are genuine VX parts?
If so then I am due an interim service and thinking about buying service items from Autovaux and having local garage service car with them. For the interim service is it as follows

    Oil 5w30 fully synthetic 5 ltrs 93165212
    Oil filter 93183412
    Sump washer 93183670
Pollen Filter 93181377 (from last year's receipt but Autovaux is different number)

I have checked the part numbers from last years service receipt and all match except the pollen filter. Surely if the part numbers are the same they are genuine?? Any ideas?? Also would a garage be prepared to charge labour only and use parts supplied by a customer as I have never done it this way before??

All the service items i've had from Autovaux have been genuine GM, and if not then they are from the OE supplier (just not in a GM packet).
If in doubt give them a call, they'll be glad to help you out.

Going to ring them next week. Does anyone know exactly what parts I will need for an interim service? Also if they supply OEM parts if there was a claim on the warranty would the dealers spot this?? Do the filters from Vx have GM stamp on them? I'm not that fussed whether they are GM or OEM but just want to keep warranty right

If your warranty is like mine they will also state they must be done by a VAT registered Garage

Yes mate that's correct. I normally use a local independant but have got receipts for parts from past services and comparing them autovaux are much cheaper. Just concerned if parts do not have the GM stamp on in the event of a warranty claim. Ringing them next week about the brakes and service items.

Even if the brakes are not GM they will be OEM standard yes? Were they OK? Anyone tell me yet which items need changing at an interim service??

I've previously bought pads and discs for my Dad's 51 Reg Astra-G. No problems at all with them. When I spoke to them on the phone they assured me that the brakes meet OEM spec.

Be careful with getting brakes off them, they may tell you they are oe equivelent but imo BRAKEWORLD are NOT oe spec, so make sure they are not giving you BRAKEWORLD as these are just cheap crap!

If you ask for GM parts they will get them. I always get GM rears from them and Mintex OE fronts.
