Vectra 3.2 05 Gsi clicking noise when ignition turned on/off

Hi Iv'e recently bought an 05 Gsi and it's all great apart from a loud clicking noise from the dash when the ignition is turned on/off.
Any ideas

I'll post some piccies of the car when I can find my bloomin camera

Behind the glovebox area perchance?

If so have a search for threads on the air distribution servo.

It sounds like one of the servos for the climate system. Does it do it when you press the "recirc" button off. If so it is the servo for the air recirc flap. If you look in the search panel there is a wealth of info on the problem. If you can not find things. Give me a shout and I will do a search for you.

That was quick I'll give it a go, thanks for the quick reply, yep near the glovebox

Mine just has a quiet buzz like something moves from A to B.... that's a 54 plate. Everything works fine and you can't hear it when the engine's running, so I don't worry about it.
Be interesting to see what you dig out though.

Yep, my GSi 04 plate developed exactly the same problem and was the air distribution servo. Didn't get it done as car went in p/x a couple of weeks later.
