Default Aircon condensors 1.9CDTi and 2.0DTi are they the same?

I wasnt quite sure about putting this in here as there isnt a technical section for HVAC.

I need a new condensor for my 1.9CDTi I have been to the VX dealer and they want a small fortune so I searched the net and found a company selling them for about £100 I then thought about local motor factors incase it goes wrong and they all seem to be comming back saying they either don't have the part or can't find it listed then asking me if the 2.0DTi is the same part, if I don't know then they need a number off the part or somthing so they can check it out and find a compatible unit.

I don't fancy takeing the bumper off to find any identification numbers, refitting then waiting for the part and all that goes with it.

So does anyone know if the 2.0DTi air con condensor will fit on the 1.9CDTi?

    Thanks

As far as I am aware, NO!

I had to replace the RAD's on my dad's CDTI 150 about 2 years ago and my mate who used to work at Vx then said they were different.

Actually, I was told the "whole pack is different and the part codes are differnt", so didnt take a chance.

I simply took his word for it, so would assume no.

Please dont hold me to this, someone will confirm shortly hopefully.

Vaux_Man is correct they are different, probably have differing mount points and such. If you look on ebay (will try to find a link) there is a seller on there selling for approx £100 plus £15 p&p.

edit. found the link for you - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/COMA-SIGNUM-VE...%3A1|294%3A200
