    Default strange connection

i have been fitting a amp and sub today and behind the glove box i come across
3 wires all with in line fuses at the same point
    1 was a perement live
    1 was an ignition live
and the other well when using my tester 1 side earthed and upon touching it it muted the music (message on screen was message) now i guess this is for a phone connection?
i will get some photos over the weekend but doubt it will help
can any one confirm what it might be there is no mic from what i can see

Quite possible is a left over loom for a mobile kit. Depending on the age of your car there might be a plug on the right had side of the glove box to which this plugs into. It went on the face lift IIRC.
Only the factory fit had the proper mike, the housing for which is above the rear view mirror. Putting a 3rd party kit mike in the housing seems to produce poor results.

Not if it was a Nokia kit, the guy who installed it prolly just put it there because that's where the factory mike goes and makes it look neater, just doesn't work very well.
