Thumbs up Powerclick Green Tuning Box Cdti 150bhp

    For sale:

3 month old powerclick green tuning box for a CDTI 150BHP vectra. Bought new from Abyss who advised me this was the best one to have and he was right. It gives excellent power in standard form to 185BHP but can be adjusted higher. It will totally transform your cars performance.

The fuel computer displays an average of 56.4MPG since fitting it 3000 miles ago but to be honest it averages about 52MPG.

Exremely easy to fit in only 5 minutes but i will supply printed fitting instruction.

Genuine fear of loosing my licence forces sale.

    Totally as new.

    £130inc P+P.

    Slow down then
I know what you mean, it's very easy to get carried away. I drive very sedately around town but i love the feeling that you get when pulling onto the by-pass or motorway and you give it the beans down the sliproad. Wakes a few people up

That's a good price though m8, won't be for sale for long.

The car will still go over 70 without it !! Why not ease the foot and enjoy the 25% saving in fuel these things claim to give you ??

In reality you don't save any fuel fitting a module as you tend to use the power more often.

Whoever fits a tuning box (whatever the manufacturer) will not be dissapointed.

Missed my point I think Alex, I was trying to say the CDTi 150 is plenty fast enough to lose your license without the box so selling it isn`t going to stop you speeding and if you drive the car sensibly you will see better mpg, so better to keep the box and lighten the foot .....

I think what Tommy was saying (tongue in cheek) is that when fitted, a lot (if not all) of these boxes 'mess up' the fuel computer on the car. It will give you a higher mpg reading than before on the computer, but if you work it out manually then there's no, or little, difference. Matt has had tuning boxes (now a remap) and he did some manually calculated figures with and without a box and saw no difference in actual mpg, even though the fuel computer was showing a higher reading.

    Hope that clears it up.

basically the tuning boxes intercept the signal that goes to the ECU from the fuel rail. It fibs the ECU into thinking that the fuel pressure is lower than it actually is, thereby the ECU then pumps more fuel in making a bigger bang. This can affect the trip computer (which is connected to the ECU) into giving better mpg than is actually been done, as the car believes less fuel is being used.

Most of the retailers of said boxes state that mpg can be improved by fitting a box - because you need less throttle for the same acceleration, but in reality, alot of people lose on economy cos the addictive extra grunt these boxes give!

The increase in performance and effect on the trip computer is dependant on the car, as each one is different, like doughnuts (you dont get 10% jam in every single one!)

Hope this clarifies it for you mate, and hopefully I've not upset any owners of said boxes.
