Nope. I've burnt compilation CD's that have had the tracks named, rather than numbered. You still just get track 1,2,3 etc. in the display.

My experience is the same - the opposite to what is printed in the owners manual!

Hadn't realised it said that in the manual! <Goes off to check his manual....> It is the CCR2006 we're talking about (in the Vec C Signum). I'm assuming the thread title is a typo?

Edit: My audio manual says nothing about displaying track names, just numbers.

By new units, do you mean CD30, CD70 etc? This won't work on a CCR2006? I can't test mine as the car's still at Vx (maybe back today! )

Depends whether your talking about MP3 trackes or not, MP3s have information coded into them (ID3 tags) that can be shown by the head unit. If it's just standard audio tracks then the head unit will just call them 1,2,3 etc. However, if you play the same CD on your computer in Windows Media Player (WMP) for example, WMP will take an album code off the CD then search the web for the correct song info etc. which it will display.

I know what you're meaning. I'll have to test mine tomorrow. I've definitely got some compilation CD's that will have track names in there. See what happens!

I'll have to check the options out next time I make one up, never seen this on an original CD either though.
