    Default Rotary Advice...

I have been using my Silverline for the first time this week, basically just getting used to the pads and polishes and speeds. I can now without any fuss remove swirl marks pretty much completely (which I am very pleased about) but I am not removing fine scratches - they look better, but are still there.

What do I need to do to remove them, is it more pressure, faster speed, more polish or something else.

I am using Elites Coolfoam 6" Orange Polishing pad and tried CG All in One and Megs Stage 1 paint cleaner - do I need something a bit harsher...?

    Any advice would be grateful

To remove the fine scratches, also known as RDS (Random Deep Scratches) you'll need to up your polish and pad combination for the affected area. If you like the CG stuff mate then you could go for the Pro Polish, which is a little tougher and get yourself a cutting/compund pad of some sort and have a go. Once you've done the affected area with the cutting/compound pad you'll need to go over it again with the polishing pad and all in one polish to remove any marring

Cheers for that mate... is there anything off the shelf I could use - I really fancy having a go tonight, but most of the decent stuff seems to be from online retailers only.

This has been recommended to me... http://www.carnaubawaxshop.co.uk/sho...product_id=142

    Have you ever used it..?

You'll be hard pushed to find the correct pads from a shop. And i don't think there is anywhere local to buy CG stuff mate which is a shame. I've got some more CG stuff on the way ready for the weekend can't wait.

My aim is to do what you do... do detailing as a side and get in some extra spondoolies - every little helps I already have a few customers lined up (mainly friends and family) but I suppose thats where word of mouth starts
