"Check safeguard" is refering to an alarm fault. If the power sounder has internal back up batteries, then they may well have also gone flat with the main battery, and will take a little while to recharge and then the message *might* disappear. Ultimately though a fault code readout will tell you what fault(s) there is with the alarm.

The main battery might well be fine, but if the power sounder has an internal battery, then that could well be the problem. It's not uncommon.

What you using to read the fault codes out? With the "check safeguard" message, there should be some fault codes stored.

only takes 30 mins to fit so I doubt your battery would die that quick unless its in bad shape
