    Default steering wheel swap electrical question???

    my car is a 54plate half can car, if i was to buy a vxr steering wheel...

    question 1....will the airbag work( same plug or alterations?)

    question 2...can i make the steering controls work?

    Airbag will work if its the same connections but the scroll wheels will not work. Its not as simple as just connecting them up. I believe Duncan first looked into this as well as others and its pretty much a no go. I am sure a quick search would have told you this. Surprised you didn't already know.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    3.2_VXR (Lee) Has one fitted in his motor rich,think he got the horn to work and thats about it,a bit dangerous if you ask me,just stick to with yours until you can get an irmscher one........

    If you have 2 plugs on the back of it (yellow and pink, very manly...) then you can fit it all without any issues except the horn and audio controls won't work without some electrical magicianry. If you've only got one plug then i really don't know how you go about it, but as said above I believe it has been done by 3.2_V6_VXR...
