    Default Front end feels light

Have notice recently that when heading towards the 100 "KMPH" speed the front of my car starts to feel really light. Noticed it slightly when i first changed my wheels then after changing the tyres it seems to have gradualy got worse. Ive got michelin Sport pilots on the front and never had problems with them before. Since changing my springs it seems to have got worse again but that my just be that im looking for the problem more.

Any ideas what i should check would be much apreciated.

    Cheers as always

    Stephen

Checked tyre presures but not had alignment done. No pulling though and would changing wheels \ tyres effect this?

Well my mate who does my tyres usually says to me that you should get the tracking/alignmnet done or at least checked everytime you change your tyres!

How badly were your old tyres worn and was there uneven wear?

Tyres were almost new i just didnt like them. The ones previous to that were well worn but very even wear. I will sort a full alignment. I presume not special equipment is needed for the Vec so most garages should be able to do it?

    Cheers

how long ago were the springs changed as well .....
they may still be settling in -
feeling could also be casued by the current greasy road conditions as not a lot of rain but with any spillages ontop will make the car feel very different - also is the road "rutted" is the feeling the car moving in the ruts on the road ??

just a couple of other ideas

    Cheers.... all ideas welcome

Springs are just over a week old, but problem was there before tehy were changed.
Noticed in various conditions. To start with thought it was just the tyres i had that were rubbish but changing them hasnt really helped.
The felling is literally as my speed increases the steering gets really vague and any little bump seems to nock it off line. I know this is expected a bit at higher speeds, but having done the wrong side of 130mph in the car (in Germany before anyone asks) i know it is deffinately worse then it should be \ has been.

I will sort an alignment then let you know the out come.

Thank you all once again. This site really is a pleasure.

Deffo sounds like alignment/tracking if it knocks it offline!

it might be worth getting the tracking done if you have had new springs fitted
