    Default Todays late night rant..............

    Not sure if Drinky has made this public knowledge yet, but I know the guys who went to Rother Valley at the weekend will know - we took the Elite back to Arnold Clarks for the fifth attempt to get the noisy wheel bearing sorted out. It has come back, finally with the noise fixed, thanks God, BUT............ they did it by swapping tyres and wheels round - no issue with this apart from the fact that by the time they had finished all 4 tyre pressures were different (one down to 25 psi!!!) He drove off and had gone about 200 yards before the tyre pressure sensors went bananas.

    Worse than this sloppy work, the careless bu99ers had broken one of his headlight protectors as well - taken a big chunk out of it - evidently caught it when shutting the bonnet down. This wasn't admitted to at the time - Chris just realised when he walked round the car when blowing up the damn tyres!!!

    Furious!!! Made very irate phone call to the dealer asap and said it was completely unacceptable and dishonest, not to mention the laziness of not even bothering to blow the tyres up properly!! Not a word of apology, and I am fairly sure he was trying to make out that I was some interfering cow who was out to cause bother.

    Very grudgingly, I was told "Well, I shan't bother arguing with you about that Mrs Drinkald............." (no, I really wouldn't bother mate!!!!!) and then he very generously 'offered' to replace the headlight protectors, which should arrive in the next day or two.

    They have not done themselves any favours - we have had half a dozen card from them over the years, and have introduced friends to them as well.

    Sorry Mr A Clark - you've blown it good and proper this time

    I really hope it gets sorted for you, as it get wearing when you have car worries

    i can assure you also the A clark wont be getting another penny of my money either..

    tbh, Chris has had more patience with me - if it had been down to me I would have taken the bl00dy thing back after 2 weeks!!!

    Such a shame, because it really is a lovely car with all the toys, and now that everything works (touching wood frantically in case anything else goes wrong!!) it is a pleasure to drive.

    Just feels like the final insult though

    The best punishment you can inflict on them is to take your business elsewhere.. when they've got no customers they'll wonder why??

    Even thou it doesn't feel like it, you can't be the only ones treated like this..
