look at it this way the high millage one should have had the hassel and problems done and fixed possabily and with full leather and satnav might hold its value better

as the leather/cloth war doesnt really bother me and the extra £300 for a lot less miles. Also satnav isn't essential. I'd go for the top one all day

But, would have to see in flesh.

Having a 150 CDTi I'd be wary of the potential issues that would be imminent on the 42k car (obviously if the 79K still has all the original parts then thats a worry too) with the DMF, springs, Inlet Manifold, EGR etc... that little lot is £2K + right there.

So I would need to inspect both cars and check their history before making a decision.

    The main problems are:

Dual Mass Flywheel - £1000 (inc clutch)
Inlet Manifold - £900 (inc cambelt)
Springs - £300+ (vx parts, lowering springs around £200 fitted)
EGR Valve - £100 (but can be cleaned which works for some)

The lower mileage one may have these problems to come, where the higher mileage one could have some/all (or none of course) of these replaced already.

    Something to double check.

Can be yes - go for the 120 if you want a more certain reliable motor.

    Nowhere near as common mate, different engines (120 8v & 150 16v).
