Air induction v air filter

I'm thinking of either replacing the filter witha KN or fitting a KN Air Induction kit. What do people think?

Is the induction kit too noisy? Is it worth it?

Will I get more power with either?

Do they interfere with the emission controls?

I think the general consensus is forget the open cone filters, they draw in too much hot air from the engine bay and actually reduce engine power, closed induction kits like the Pipercross Viper and Simotas work very well but cost well over £100, a K&N (or other performance) panel filter to replace your std filter is probably the best option at a cheap price.

What he said..You need a Sealed induction kit to make any difference/ keep power the same.but yeh Nice noise from them tho.
