    Default To everybody who has kids

    As lots of members here has kids or about to have them, I would like to highlight this, Too many children are choking on window blind cords, anybody who has a toddler I urge you to check your window blind cords, tie the cords up or cut them, even better, get new blinds that have the twisting pole... read here

    top advice mate. i.ve tied mine up as i just paid £500 for blinds can't really aford to change them.

    We have a mixture of (tied up) cord type and the rotating rod type blinds.

    Although this was a very tragic accident, it always gets the same emotive response of 'ban something'.

    There is a bigger picture here and that is about personal responsibility and assessing and managing risks. If that means looking at your environment and taking practical precautions, then it should be done. If some people can do it, why can't all people?


    I really do feel for the parents though, what must they be thinking? I am sure one will be 'we should have....'

    I really hate reading stories like this one, as would almost any parent.

    Could tell you a few as we've been there, but won't as no one knows the answers to the what if's and everyone is different.
