    Default Juddering 1.9CDTi 150

    Hi all,

    Recently when driving at around 2100rpm the car will judder like buggary for around 2-3mins, then stop.

    It has happened around 10 times in the last 2 weeks.

    When driving at 70mph in 6th gear for example (around 2100 rpm) it will judder and the rpm indicator moves between 2000 and 2200 rpm when doing this.

    I can replicate the symptoms by driving with the cruise control on and blipping the accelerator fast.

    P.S. there are no warning lights etc on when it does this.

    P.P.S Car is a 57plate MY2008 and has just clocked 56,000 miles.

    Any ideas?

    Intresting to see that I am not the only one with this issue.(SRI 150 TDI AUTO)

    It has been happening to me on and off for over the past 8 weeks. you dont mention is your vectra is an auto as mine is.

    It normaly happens to at motorway speeds & feels like you are trying to driveing a manual in a high gear at low rpm. I have also had this happen once at lower speed arround 40ish on this occaison It wouldnt go away as normal & i had to be recorved.

    My local dealer had the car in for a day and could only suggest to change the auto box oil as it was due next service anyway. all was ok after this for a week then the problem returned.

    I find that when it dose occur the engine still revs up ok and will pull past the judders after an increase/decrease in speed of 5mph or so.

    Hi Simon,

    Mines a manual.

    It does appear that we have the same issue. Like you say, you can drive through it. But something is obviously wrong. I'm going to ring the dealer and get it in to see whats what.

    Yeah, just booked mine in for the morning its due its 50k service anyhow will update you when I know more, also read thougth the sitcky on the 3rd injector issue some points looked simular I will see what the dealer says.

    Ok I fitted one and experienced it, but at low speeds high gears i.e 30 ish in 4th gear

    I would have said the injector wiring? Could be the casue

    Never had a box on mine, no mods from the factory. Mine has the updated injector wiring too. I have removed the plugs and cleaned them with swith cleaner anyway, just to be sure. It had a new inlet manifold, EGR valve, Boost sensor and altenator at the 40k service too (don't know why, there was nothing wrong that i new about) but at least it cost me nothing.

    It's in for the 60k service soon, so i'll see what VX say then.

    I did 340miles today and no juddering, but tommorow is another day
