    Default Dvd 800 usb

Anybody know what the max capacity usb stick you can use ? Tried searching the web but can't find any info bar the fat format and sector size.

I've tried an 8 gig stick and there appears to be an issue. The music is there and plays ok but the album folders have the wrong track listings.
If I reformat it and re-sync with media player it works for a bit then starts again.

Works fine with 1 gig sticks.

Cheers, the stick isn't full only about 6 gig. Wondering whether there is a max number of files / folders it can read.

Try re-formatting your memory stick but where it says 'default allocation size' select the lowest value, usually 512bytes.
Then reload your music and try.
Let me know if it works.

Done that, all works fine for a few days then goes haywire.
Going to reduce the number of folders to about 4 gig since that's been confirmed as working, then increase the number to see when it stops working. I'm suspecting that the radio can't cope with the large number of folders.

The limit exists for the number of files which can be "controlled" by a software od DVD800. Only 1000 titles can be served so bigger card than 4GB does not make sense.
My suggestion: Put your favorite song as the fist one in the first folder as DVD800 after switching on always starts with it It takes some time to read all the titles (up to 1000 remember that) and then you can choose to choose to randomly play sons or walk thru folders

Cheers for that, makes sense. Will just have to remove some of the wife's music then

They could put it in the manual though that there is a limit to the number of files.
