    Default wing?

my mate thought it was a gd idea to hurdle my bonnet last night when he was drunk!

his trailing knee whacked the drivers wing and its got a dent about 10' x 5' dent in it and the paint is cracked at the seam with the bonnet

now is he going to be cheaper getting the wing repaired or hoping to find one for sale?

its a 57 sri in black

definatly requires some form of dent to his head IMO. I would have his head as a mascot on my bonnet too..

£800 for a new wing painted and fitted? They were having a laugh weren't they!!!

ryan - apart from the same suggestion as others of putting a dent in your friend's head , I'd say you'd be better off, and probably cheaper to have a new wing. They simply bolt off and so a new one will just need painting and fitting. To try and repair the one you have will probably take more time, effort and probably cost than simply replacing it - especially as it would still need painting once repaired anyway.

A 10" x 5" dent (I assume you meant that and not 10' x 5' ) is a fair old size dent to try and repair anyway and I think you'd be pushed to get a repair on it that you'd be happy with. Certainly not worth the hassle given how easily a wing is to replace on these cars.
