upgrading my BID please help

hi guys i have just brought a vectra after having a hired one a few weeks ago and was very pleased with it

only thing is the hired one was a sri with a screen telling you mile per gallon, avg speed and other stuff, the car i brought only has the radio info on it and the temp but the car was a steal so couldnt say no

looking to upgrade this to the info one but dont under stand what it called and all the tech stuff that a few threads on here say, could some one please explain it to a idiot please
