    silly question but does anyone no the standard tyre size on an 05 cdti sri vectra

    If it's fitted with standard 17 inch wheels tyres when new would have been 215/50/R17 although they have probably been changed to 225/45/R17's as these are cheaper

    215/50/17 but you can go to the 225/45/17 as there are more tyre's avv in this size and they are also cheaper then the silly vx fitted size...

    thanks only have the car a short time and fronts are 225 45 17 and rears are 225 50 17 didnt no which were the proper tyres

    stay with the 225 45 17 as like others have said they are cheaper etc etc

    does the change in tyre size affect the speedo reading or the fuel consumption?

    Did you mean 215 50 17? I guess you did but just checking as 225 50 17 is an odd size.
