    Default Had Some Photos Done...

Well my Aunty has taken up photography and now the 'Hobby' is turning into something quite serious!

We went up last night to theirs and had some photos taken, im complety blown away at how good they are.

I will be getting tons of them printed off and mounted but heres just a quick taster of a sample pic.
(copied form Faceboook onto photobucket so u can see)

    Mrs Diet and Baby Diet

I would like to wish her well in her new venture!!!

Along the lines of what knoxv said, shooting a wedding successfully is a million miles away from the relaxed, and less time pressured, environment of a few pics in a studio set up. Sooooo many people who can take some decent pics then think "Yeah, I can do a wedding" and summarily it up!, leaving the bride/groom/family all disappointed - and even worse if the person that did the pics on the day is family too!

I'm not saying she's not up to it BTW, she may well be able to do a fantastic job, but I just wanted to highlight that doing a few pics in a studio set-up is a world away from shooting a wedding with all the time constraints and having to handle and deal with a whole lot of people on the day.

If you want any more advice/info on all the ins and outs of choosing/using a wedding photographer then gimme a shout, I've got just a wee bit of experience of this photography lark. - especially with also shooting weddings on top of my commercial/advertising work.

    cheers for the advice.

The other half is thinking along the same lines as you too... so we will prob get a photographer ask Lisa if she can take pics and pass them on etc.

I would certainly recommend that, and you could get some fantastic results from that option.

You'll have the professional doing all the official stuff and taking the responsibility/pressure for that, whilst your Aunt can then catch a whole lot of candid shots that the photographer may not be able to get. A good pro will (should) get a good selection of candid shots but they can't be in two places at once, so what your Aunt shoots could be a fantastic addition to the main official shots. It'll also give her a flavour of what shooting a wedding could be like without the pressure of being the official photographer.

So, do you know any photographers within travelling distance of Plymouth who shoot weddings?

We love the more 'Journalistic' Feel to wedding photos tbh so having our Aunt there will certainly help in getting those!!

We have seen aload of Photographers in this area.... its just finding one we feel comfortable with if u get me
