    Default Painful eyes

    Does anyone get sore eyes/lids after using some of the chemicals for our cars IE like tyre gel and certain polishes ..i have been polishing and cleaning the car in the garage today and tonight i am in agony with my eyes ..i don't know if its the silicone or what i am allergic to

    probably doing it in confined space such as your garage isn't helping matters mate.

    Now you're looking at a comp screen. When you concentrate you dont blink either. could be part reason

    never had any probs here... u tried flushing ur eyes with water???

    Maybe uve inadvertunly touched ur eyes before u washed ur hands etc etc

    phil, i have used a lot of different stuff and never had any problems. I had sore eyes last night but that was hayfever, could it be that?

    Ive never had hayfever b4 ..it just seems to be when i use polishes and sprays ..like back to black ..thinking its the silicone i may be alergic to ..just wondered if it affected anyone else

    Never had a problem with eye irritation but some of the wheel cleaners I used a while back used to send me into coughing fits as did some of the quik detailers.

    I wouldn't rule out that it is the product you are using. As TT mentioned especially if it's being used in a confined space.
