car with spanner on dash

hi i've just noticed after getting my car back form the garage (getting flywheel and clutch rerplaced) that theres a light on the dash of a car with a spanner through it...has anyone else ever come across this or any ideas what the problem is......

its telling u theres a fault on the car and it needs to be plugged in to tech2 to find wot fault it is.

its prob a sensor they haven't put back correctly.

Does the spanner light stay on when engine running or does it extinguish once running? If it stays on, it is a currently active fault and needs looking at (as above, possibly a sensor connector not mating properly. If it goes out after engine is running, it means there has been a fault but no longer currently there (in this instance, maybe the garage have started the engine with not all sensor connectors connected) in which case, if no further faults are reported, the light will dissapear on its own after approx 1 months of normal driving.
